As part of UCLA’s transition to remote instruction for Spring Quarter 2020, all research consultations will be offered remotely via e-mail or Zoom (audio/video call). Instructions for joining online Zoom meetings will be sent in the confirmation email once an appointment is set up. We also offer Ask a Librarian chat service for 24/7 online research assistance that is staffed by institutions both within and outside of the UC System, as well as other remote resources for UCLA Library users. See below for more options.
Virtual Reference Desk
Contact us for assistance with finding and using information sources for assignments, theses and dissertations, and research in the fields of art and art history, architecture, architectural history, design media arts, fashion and costume, film and television studies, photography, theater, and urban design.
The Arts Library offers a virtual reference desk from 11:00-4:00 on weekdays, with the exception of Intersession and Summer sessions. During those times, please schedule a consultation with a subject librarian, or send us an e-mail.
Virtual Consultations with Subject Librarians
Patrons can also contact one of the subject librarians directly for research assistance, or schedule a consultation with an individual librarian online. Priority for consultations is reserved for UCLA students, faculty, researchers, and staff.
In addition, guides in various subjects in the arts are available online through the Library's research guides.
For e-mail reference, please fill out the form below and you will be contacted by a librarian.
