Turner Classic Movies (TCM) kicks off a 24-hour programming marathon on September 25 celebrating the 60th anniversary of the UCLA Film & Television Archive(opens in a new tab).
The 18 titles featured in the tribute include a cross-section of genres preserved by the Archive, from silent films, animated shorts, newsreels and television programs to independent films and student productions—all while continuing to highlight the Archive’s commitment to restoring Classic Hollywood titles. All of these restoration efforts are thanks to the Archive’s many partners who support the vital task of rescuing moving image history.
Among them include:
Desert Hearts (1986)
Digitally restored by The Criterion Collection/Janus Films and the Archive in conjunction with Outfest UCLA Legacy Project and Sundance Institute.

The Times of Harvey Milk (1984)
Restored by the Archive in cooperation with Telling Pictures, the James C. Hormel Gay and Lesbian Center and Earle-Tones Music, Inc. Funding provided by The Ahmanson Foundation in association with the Sundance Institute.

Greedy Humpty Dumpty (1936)
Restored by the Archive and The Film Foundation. Funding provided by The Seth MacFarlane Foundation.

All That Money Can Buy (1941)
Restored by the Archive and The Film Foundation in collaboration with Janus Films, The Museum of Modern Art and The Library of Congress. Funding provided by the Hobson/Lucas Family Foundation.

Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933)
Restored by the Archive and The Film Foundation in association with Warner Bros. Entertainment. Funding provided by the Hobson/Lucas Family Foundation.
