Offered by the UC Open Source Program Office (UC OSPO) in partnership with The Carpentries, this second session in the Building Better Research Software workshop series builds on the concepts introduced in Part 1. Participants will learn strategies for writing clearer, better-structured, and more maintainable code. Topics include:
• Improving code readability and documentation
• Organizing code, data, and results with common patterns
• Planning for collaboration and long-term sustainability

Attendees should have completed Part 1 or be familiar with its content, which covered version control, open and reproducible research practices, and Python environment setup.
