Sheet Music Consortium
Since 2003, the Sheet Music Consortium drew together information about digitized sheet music from 36 different institutions throughout the world. The digitized sheet music collections websites are listed here.
UCLA Digital Library's Sheet Music Consortium was the fruit of a collaboration among librarians at the Music Library Association conference, who strongly believed that the accessibility of digitized sheet music was fragmented and sought a solution. For many years, the Consortium served researchers, students, educators, and community members as a centralized point of discovery, providing convenient access to digitized sheet music collections and streamlining cross-institutional record searching. While the word "consortium" in the name of this set of services implies a formal group of partners, no actual organization was formed.
