UCLA Library Special Collections brought Bonnie Cashin’s enduring influence to life with a week of experiences celebrating the mid-century American designer’s creativity, wit and style. From primary source workshops exploring the Bonnie Cashin Collection to a Cashin-inspired student fashion gallery, the series invited discovery at every turn. The week culminated with a public talk by Mellissa Huber, associate curator at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art — the first Cashin lecture since the pandemic.
