SEL/Boelter
8270 Boelter Hall, (310) 825-4951

SEL/Boelter collects and maintains a research-level collection to meet the information needs of the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering and the departments of physics and astronomy, atmospheric and oceanic sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, mathematics, computer science, and statistics. SEL/Boelter is the main location for the UCLA engineering and physical sciences community, housing two collaborative spaces (SEL Research Commons and SEL Learning Commons), a group study room, course reserves, circulating stacks and laptop lending.

SEL/Geology
4697 Geology Building, (310) 825-1055

SEL/Geology consists of SEL's geology collections and hosts a quiet reading room, circulating stacks, group study rooms and laptop lending. SEL/Geology specializes in geology, geochemistry, geophysics, space physics, planetary science, seismology and regional geology. All publications of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), publications of western U.S. state geological surveys and many international geological surveys are housed at this location. The adjoining William C. Putnam Map Collection holds 90,000 topographic and geologic maps, serving as a depository for USGS geologic map series and topographic maps for California, Nevada and Arizona.
