Ponyo

Japan, 2008

Walking the beach of his small fishing village, a young boy, Sōsuke (Frankie Jonas), frees a funny looking goldfish (Noah Cyrus) he finds trapped in a jar and takes it into his care. But Ponyo, as he calls her, is no ordinary fish. She’s the magical daughter of a sea wizard who longs to be a human girl. Another enduring classic from master animator Hayao Miyazak, Ponyo blends childhood wonder, high adventure and a compelling appeal for the environment as only he can.
