Megan Rosenbloom

Collection Strategies Librarian

Biography

Welcome Megan Rosenbloom, Collection Strategies Librarian

Megan is coming to us from across town--she's been working for the Norris Medical Library at the University of Southern California in a variety of roles since 2009, including Head of Metadata and Content Management, Associate Director for Collection Resources, and, most recently, Associate Director for Instruction Services.

She is active professionally, as a member of Librarians, Archivists, and Museum Professionals in the History of the Health Sciences (LAMPHHS), the Medical Library Association, the Zamorano Club, and the Southern California Society for the History of Medicine, among other organizations. In 2016, she received the Library Journal Mover & Shaker Award.

In addition to her professional expertise and experience, Megan has an extensive record of innovative bibliographic scholarship: her book, Dark Archives: A Librarian's Investigation into the Science and History of Books Bound in Human Skin will be published by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux in October, 2020.
