Library Tutorials

Build your research, writing and reading skills with self-paced tutorials, workshops and printable handouts from WI+RE.

Using the Tutorials

Learn at your own pace. Start with Cornerstone Research Workshops for an introduction to research, try a quick tutorial to build a specific skill or filter for printable handouts if you’d rather work offline.

For students: Use search and filters to find the tutorial that fits your needs. You can also access tutorials through the WI+RE Bruin Learn course(opens in a new tab).

For instructors: You can add these tutorials to your Bruin Learn course. Submit a Library Instruction Request(opens in a new tab) or email uclawire@library.ucla.edu(opens in a new tab) and we'll help you get started.

These tutorials are created by the Library’s Writing Instruction and Research Education (WI+RE) program, where students, instructional designers and librarians work together to make peer-to-peer tutorials on writing, research and information literacy.
