Overview

The STEM Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) is located in the Science and Engineering Library Research Commons at 8251 Boelter Hall. The initiative is a partnership between the Library, the UCLA Center for Education Innovation and Learning in the Sciences(opens in a new tab) (CEILS), the Undergraduate Learning Assistant Program(opens in a new tab) and the Undergraduate Writing Center(opens in a new tab) (UWC). The CLC fosters collaboration among STEM students through group learning activities and study sessions. Please see individual program sites for schedules. A valid BruinCard is required for entry.

Equipment available:

  • Fifty-two-inch plasma screen with VGA hookup
  • Two dual screen Windows desktops and an iMac equipped with CLICC software
  • Three wall mounted monitors for laptop hookup
  • Six computer workstations
  • Whiteboards on wheels and three whiteboard tables

The STEM CLC space can be reserved for library instruction. Tables and chairs can be rearranged to suit users' needs. SEL has another collaborative research space, the SEL Learning Commons, which can also be used for library instruction.
