UCLA Library at Bruin Day 2019

The UCLA Library is excited to engage with #UCLABound students and their families during Bruin Day 2019! There are numerous opportunities for members of the class of 2023 to learn more about Library collections, resources and student services, including those specific to your area of study.

Dickson Plaza Tent
Between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., meet librarians and student support staff in Dickson Plaza in tent number 201, adjacent to the Powell Library entrance. The team is armed with information, handouts, fun giveaway items, and directions to help you navigate to each of the library locations that support your scholarship. Ask away!

Guided Tours
Hour-long, student-led tours of historic Powell Library and the Charles E. Young Research Library depart from the Powell steps at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m.

Discover how the UCLA Library system supports students as you tour Powell’s study spaces, community collections and technology locations. Visit the Inquiry Space, where free consultations with librarians and peer-to-peer Inquiry Specialists help make research assignments more manageable. At the Research Library, visit Library Special Collections, which holds many rare or unique items found only at UCLA.

For those unable to attend Bruin Day, you can still take a tour – virtually – via Facebook Live at 11 a.m. Follow facebook.com/uclalibrary to receive a notification at the start of the tour.
