Submit Winter Quarter Course Reserve Requests by Dec. 13

Dear UCLA Instructors:

As the Winter Quarter quickly approaches, UCLA Library encourages faculty to submit course reserve requests by Monday, Dec. 13. With winter closure beginning on Dec. 18 and continuing until the first day of classes on Jan. 3, there will be no gap between closure and the first day of classes. By submitting your course reserve requests in advance of the break, Library staff will have time to process your requests and have them ready for you in advance.

I also want to inform you of the Library’s intersession hours, from Dec. 13 to 17, as follows:

  • Charles E. Young Research Library, and the Powell and Biomedical libraries: Mon.–Fri., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Boelter, Music, and Rosenfeld libraries: Mon.–Fri., 12 to 4 p.m.

Please note: all UCLA Library locations are closed from Dec. 18 to Jan. 2 in observance of the traditional campus winter closure.

On behalf of the UCLA Library, I wish you a joyful holiday season and look forward to working with you in the new year.

Best regards,

Virginia Steel
