What goals/hopes do you have for this year as our new Associate Director of Development, Stewardship & Annual Giving?
I could not be more excited about joining the UCLA Library Development team! My focus will be on increasing stewardship efforts through various communications, recognition projects and events, including Powell Society. I am also looking forward to developing annual appeals and cultivating new donors for the Library.

How has your prior experience prepared you for this role at the UCLA Library?
My previous roles over the past almost 20 years in advancement and student affairs have prepared me well for this position, as I’ve held positions at California State University, Bakersfield and Northridge; University of Southern California; and College of the Canyons. This breadth of experience will allow me to connect with, cultivate and steward donors with intentionality, creativity and consistency.

What projects will you be tackling first?
I am looking forward to working on developing creative ways to engage and cultivate new donors for the Library, as well as continuing engagement with the Powell Society. I’m also looking forward to helping the team with the continuation of our annual giving and stewardship programs. Finally, I’m excited to provide meaningful contributions to helping donors learn about all the various ways the Library supports the broader mission of UCLA.

What are you currently reading/watching/listening to? and/or What do you like to do outside of work?
I am currently reading Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst and watching “The Staircase” on Netflix. I enjoy listening to smooth jazz artists, particularly Dave Koz, and currently, my favorite music group is Maverick City. Outside of work, I enjoy keeping up with my two littles, who are 7 and 4 years old.
