Inspired by Women's History Month, staff members at UCLA's Charles E. Young Research Library have curated a non-fiction reading list at the intersection of racial, gender and cross-cultural identities. All titles are accessible through UC Library Search.

Evil Dead Center : A Mystery. By Carole LaFavor (2017)

After a Ojibwa woman is found dead on the Minnesota Red Earth Reservation, her ex-lover Renee LaRoche comes back to prove it wasn't suicide. Renee finds herself amid a larger investigation tied to a deep trauma inflicted on many of the Ojibwa people.

A collection of short stories that explore and disrupt the perception of the 'ideal' Thai woman in relation to Buddhist tradition, historical gender roles, and imperial influences.


Amreekiya : A Novel by Lena Mahmoud (2018)
