Collections
Collections in Powell Library focus on current, high-use materials—including books, magazines, and reference materials—that support research, growth and wellness, leisure reading, and engagement with a diverse campus community. The Powell Library Community Collections—which include recent fiction, science fiction and fantasy, graphic literature, cookbooks, travel, zines, and video games—have been developed in collaboration with student groups and campus partners. Browse the collections in Powell’s main reading room or in the Library’s catalog!
We welcome suggestions and book requests from students and the UCLA community. If you're a member of a student group that has an existing collection or an idea for a new collection, please get in touch! Student liaisons act as bridges between organizations and the library, gathering title suggestions from the membership and working with a librarian to add them to the collection. If you have any questions, please contact the librarians at Powell at powellcollections@library.ucla.edu.
If you are interested in donating materials to the library, please consult the information for prospective donors at: http://www.library.ucla.edu/about/giving-library/gifts-materials.
