Wikipedia Edit-a-thon focused on Mental Health

Held in conjunction with the National Network of Libraries of Medicine Pacific Southwest Region, volunteers learned how to adjust and develop Wikipedia articles with scholarship from the UCLA Library. Twenty-four editors made a total of 66 edits and added 75 references to 17 articles.  

  • Dr. Robert Bilder, Tennenbaum Family Professor of Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences, Chief of Medical Psychology-Neuropsychology at UCLA's Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. He also directs the MindWell Pod within UCLA's Healthy Campus Initiative to concentrate on how we can support resilience, well-being and creative achievement at UCLA and beyond.
  • Dr. Amin Azzam, clinical professor in the department of psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. Dr. Azzam has done extensive work with using Wikipedia to promote Medical Education.
  • Aimee Gogan, Librarian, Office of Engagement and Training from the National Library of Medicine.
  • Amanda Wilson, Chief, Office of Engagement and Training from the National Library of Medicine.
