Come to this (un)workshop and get a brief introduction to a range of mapping resources available at UCLA Library, from print maps to Social Explorer to ArcGIS and other online web-mapping options (Carto, GitHub, etc). We will then decide collectively what we do next! Maybe it will be the basics of QGIS or extracting data from the census website or setting up a GitHub account or geo-referencing a map. Come with ideas and let’s map them out! Taught by Andy Rutkowski, Geospatial Librarian.
