Jacob Nadal, Executive Director of ReCap
Jacob Nadal, Executive Director of ReCAP, will talk about how cooperative strategies can lead to dramatic improvemnts in the way libraries provide collections and services to researchers. Since the 1980s, when the UC RLFs were built, the storage and logistics industry has changed dramatically. Work is underway at ReCap, a partnership among Princeton University, the New York Public Library, and Columbia University, to bring these innovations to libraries. Jake will discuss how better operational methods expand access to library materials, improve preservation outcomes, and make it easier for individual librarians to provide the optimal selection of research materials to their readers.
