GIS Day 2017

This annual event celebrates the usage of geographic information systems (GIS) technology in real-world applications that are making a difference to society. At UCLA GIS Day 2017 is organized by the UCLA Library, Department of Geography, and the Institute for Digital Research and Education. This year's event seeks to inspire the campus community to think spatially by offering a program featuring a humanitarian-themed mapathon; a series of lightning talks that highlight campus projects; and a display of historical maps, biodiversity atlas, drones, 3D maps, and VR technologies.
