Copyright for Creators

Thursday, Jan 26, 2017 - 12:00pm to 1:30pm

If you create works such as original writing, images or video that incorporates others’ work, and/or if you distribute your work widely, you should know the basic workings of copyright so you can use others’ work appropriately and protect your own rights. This brown bag session will cover the basics of copyright law, the exceptions to the law you can use, and how to protect your own copyright. Taught by Martin Brennan, Copyright and Licensing Librarian.
