AHUSA Powell Library Exhibition: Seasons in LA

Thursday, January 11, 2018 - 5:00pm to Thursday, February 1, 2018 - 5:00pm

The UCLA Art History Undergraduate Student Association (AHUSA) is organizing an exhibition in the Powell Library Rotunda from Thursday, January 11, 2018 to Thursday, February 1, 2018. The theme of the exhibit is "Seasons in LA".
Weather at UCLA and Los Angeles is perpetually temperate. While most places cycle through seasons, LA is perpetually the same year-round. The cyclical nature of seasons, political climates, and cultures necessitates adaptation.
Powell Library, as an exhibition space, presents immediate historical implications as a non-white-cube space. AHUSA's in-house Design Committee is responsible for theme conceptualization, artist selection, and curatorial decisions for the Powell Library Exhibition.
Participating artists include: Pallavi Adapa, Ricky Amadour, Francine Banda, Kiara Barrett, Alaina Dexter, Jessica Fagrell, James Foley, Michael Ho, Gwen Hollingsworth, Ethan Janssen, Richard Nam, Gozie Ojini, Athena Quispe, Dane Sartorius, and Ago Visconti.
