1989: The Fall of the Berlin Wall and the Rise of the Velvet Revolution

Focusing on the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, its meaning and legacy, as well as on heroes of 1989's "Velvet Revolution" in the former Czechoslovakia this exhibition of historical photographs, documents, and technology demonstrates the pressing need to advocate for a world without walls.

1989: The Fall of the Berlin Wall and the Rise of the Velvet Revolution is view in the Powell Library East Rotunda through December 20, 2019. The exhibition is held in conjunction with International Education Week, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State and Education, and a campus-wide event organized by the UCLA International Institute.
