The Scholarly Innovation Lab (SIL) serves as a work space for special group projects. It is jointly administered by the Library and the Center for Digital Humanities, which maintains the SIL Calendar.

Ready to dive in?
Propose your own research collaboration by submitting a brief description using our online form. We review applications on a rolling basis. If accepted, team members will have access to the SIL on a quarterly basis.
If you are already part of a team and need access to the SIL, please fill out the Participant Access Request Form.
Facilities
The SIL consists of three spaces along the north side of the Research Commons on the first floor of the Research Library. Each seats up to 16 people.
- The Outer SIL contains a large high-resolution rear-projection screen, with seats and tables facing it.
- The Inner SIL is an enclosed room containing four meeting tables, each with a large monitor.
- The Window SIL is a glass-walled space which contains four meeting tables, each with a large monitor.In addition, a smart board/projector is mounted on one wall.
Hours
Approved project teams will have access to the SIL whenever the Research Library is open.
