Courtney Dean

Courtney is the Head of the Center for Primary Research and Training (CFPRT) where she provides hands-on training in archival methodology to graduate students and facilitates creative engagement with special collections materials. In 2014, she co-founded the Los Angeles Archivists Collective(opens in a new tab). Courtney is an active member of the Society of California Archivists, Society of American Archivists, Archival Workers Collective and Abolition in Special Collections working group. She earned her MLIS from UCLA in 2013.

Courtney is also a member of the UCLA Library Punk Collective.
