    Index to doctoral dissertations from 1861 to the present, with abstracts since 1980. A number of master's theses are also indexed, with abstracts since 1988. Complete text of dissertations and theses from University of California campuses since 1997 is available at no charge to download in PDF format. The first 24 pages of all items since 1997 are available to preview at no charge.

    CRL has more than 750,000 uncataloged foreign doctoral dissertations. As this database is in the process of being constructed, not finding a match does not mean CRL does not hold the dissertation. UCLA students, faculty & staff may request dissertations on interlibrary loan.

    Theses Canada Portal (National Library of Canada)
    A central access point for Canadian theses and information about the Theses Canada program. Full text electronic versions of Canadian theses and dissertations published from the beginning of 1998 through August 31, 2002 are available in PDF format. This site also provides access to AMICUS, Canada's national online catalogue, for bibliographic records of all theses in the National Library of Canada theses collection, which was established in 1965. UCLA students, faculty & staff may request dissertations on interlibrary loan.
