UCLA Library
Copying Services
Self-Service Copying/Printing
Debit-card copying (photocopiers and microform reader/printers) and printing is available throughout the library system. UC users (faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students) may obtain UC-rate debit cards (see below for UC copy rates) at the following library locations:
Arts, Biomedical, College, Law, Management, Music, SEL/Engineering, and the Cashier Window at the Young Research Library (YRL).
These libraries sell UC-rate cards in $1, $5, and $10 denominations.
UC-rate and higher rate (up to $100) cards also may be obtained at the Reprographic Service office (2081 Engineering I).
Appropriate UC identification must be presented at the time of sale of a UC rate debit card; users are limited to one card per transaction.
UC users may pay for debit cards by check, credit card, or through SBAR (UCLA students only). The minimum purchase for check or SBAR is $1; for credit card transactions the minimum charge is $10. Cash is accepted at the YRL Cashier Window and at the Reprographic Service office (2081 Engineering I). Faculty and staff may also pay for cards using a campus recharge (Reprographic Service office only).
Non-UC users may obtain non-UC-rate debit cards from vending machines located in most campus libraries (see below for non-UC copy rates).
All debit cards are reusable, and value may be added to the cards at the vending machines as long as the total amount encoded on the card does not exceed $100.
Transfer to or use of UC-rate debit cards by non-UC users constitutes a violation of UCLA Library policies and regulations. Unauthorized use of a UC-rate debit card may result in revocation of UCLA Library privileges and confiscation of debit card.
