California Digital Library-Licensed Databases Via Telnet

Primary access to the Melvyl Catalog and California Digital Library (CDL) databases is via the World Wide Web. Users can also access some databases via a telnet interface:

Invoke a telnet session now
Some databases are restricted to University of California students, faculty, and staff.
At prompt for terminal type, enter vt100.

To use Bruin OnLine dial-up service, you must:

  1. Have a computer and modem.
  2. Be a current UCLA student, faculty, or staff.
  3. Have a Bruin OnLine account. If you don't have one, you can sign up online.
