The Study of the History of Medicine at UCLA

The interdisciplinary Study of the History of Medicine program is designed to increase understanding of medicine's past as it relates to the key roles medicine plays in contemporary culture and encompasses the activities of a variety of faculty and staff drawn from both general and medical departments across campus. While the program's brochure describes the public face of medical history activites, programs, collections, and resources during 1950-95, its Web site presents an overview of the historical activities of the program as well as current and ongoing endeavors.
