New Unified Loan Periods for UCLA/UC Students, Faculty and Staff

Please note that effective July 7, 2014, the UCLA Library will begin to implement unified loan periods for UCLA/UC students, faculty, and staff.

New Loan Periods for UCLA/UC Students and Staff

Books: ninety days; renewable
Bound journals: fourteen days; renewable
Unbound journals: seven days; not renewable

New Loan Periods for UCLA/UC Faculty

Books: 180 days (six months); renewable
Bound journals: fourteen days; renewable
Unbound journals: seven days; not renewable

This does not affect reserve materials; reference materials; and other non-circulating items.

This change is meant to make it easier for students, faculty, and staff to use the Library's circulating collections and to manage checked-out items. Please note that it applies only to UCLA/UC students, faculty, and staff, not to any other UCLA Library cardholders.
