Sales Tax

California sales tax is added to charges for photocopies; no sales tax is added to charges for web delivery, fax, or loans. Recharges to UCLA departments are not subject to sales tax.

Additional Fees for Special Services

Input charge: A $1 charge is assessed for all requests that are submitted by means other through the Library Catalog, online form, or Request. This charge is levied regardless of whether the request is filled or not.

Rush requests: All rush requests are assessed a $10 rush processing fee in addition to the basic request fees. Rush requests will be processed in advance of all non-rush requests and will be available for pick-up/delivery within one working day of receipt.

Off-campus addresses: There is an additional charge of $1 per request for users who designate an off-campus delivery address as their preferred delivery option for photocopied articles. Book deliveries can be made only to on-campus addresses.

Fax delivery of photocopy requests: There is an additional charge of $2 per article faxed up to thirty pages. Requests over thirty pages must be mailed or held for pick-up.

Payment

Two payment options are available:

  • Bill: An invoice will be sent for requests filled within each calendar month. Bills can be paid by check or credit card, following the instructions on the bill.
  • Departmental recharge: Departmental accounts can be recharged. Recharge account information and authorized signatures must be provided upon registration. Users are responsible for notifying the Library of any changes in recharge account information.
