Information Literacy Resources for Librarians |

The Information Literacy Program creates initiatives, provides support, and seeks opportunities for collaboration among librarians and others in order to help UCLA students master skills for gathering, evaluating, and ethically using information and to help faculty communicate these skills to students. UCLA librarians not yet formally involved in the Information Literacy Program are encouraged to contact program director Diane Mizrachi to develop and enhance long- or short-term projects that further the program's goals and their library's instructional efforts. Librarians interested in finding out more about current resources in the area of information literacy are encouraged to consult Esther Grassian's LibGuide Teach Information Literacy & Critical Thinking! Librarians are expected to record instructional activities in the Summary of Instructional Activities (SIA) database which is used to generate various individual, unit, and library-wide reports. |
