Library of Congress Classification "Z"

Following is a breakdown of the "Z" classification for Library and Information Science as found on the fifth floor of the UCLA Young Research Library, intended as a guide for browsing the stacks. Because the classification of LIS materials does not always follow the scheme given below, and because materials at SRLF are not all classified, it is necessary that ORION be used for determining the exact location of particular items, as well as for conducting subject searches.
