UCLA Residence Hall, DeNeve PlazaPlease use the dorm room reservation form to secure a sleeping room and parking permit (if applicable) on the UCLA campus. DeNeve Plaza rooms feature single or double occupancy rooms (two twin beds in each) with private baths. All rooms are air-conditioned, non-smoking, and equipped with alarm clocks, cable television, daily maid service, telephones, bathroom amenities, and Internet access. Guest information is also provided in each room. The front desk of DeNeve Plaza is open 24 hours a day. The room rate includes breakfast each day from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and complimentary access to recreation facilities on campus. Participants staying on the UCLA campus are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Luxe Hotel and the Getty Center for preconference activities. The Metro Rapid bus #761 stops at the NE corner of Sunset Blvd. and Bellaggio Road, a short walk from the dorms at DeNeve Commons. The bus ride to the Luxe Hotel takes 5 minutes and costs $1.25. On Thursday, when conference events take place at the Getty Center, attendees may ride the 761 to the hotel, and from there pick up the Getty shuttle; otherwise, they can continue on the 761 bus to the next stop, directly in front of the Getty Center on Sepulveda Blvd. The 233 bus takes over for the Rapid 761 after about 7:45 p.m., but only runs once an hour thereafter. To return to the dorms after 7:30 p.m., attendees may wish to consider taking a cab directly to the dorm. |
