3.  How to succeed -- advice for graduate students

  • Search for books on this topic using the UCLA Library Catalog, Melvyl Catalog (UC campuses plus); for example “Getting what you  came for” by Robert L. Peters.

  • Use the Subject headings links in the Library Catalog and Melvyl to find other resources, for example

Universities and colleges -- United States -- Graduate work -- Handbooks, manuals, etc.

Dissertations, Academic -- United States -- Handbooks, manuals, etc.

  • Use the Request feature Request to obtain items from other UC campuses; alternatively, go to interlibrary loan.

If you are unable to submit interlibrary loan requests using the Request a Book, Request an Article, or Request a Book Chapter forms, use the UCLA Library Interlibrary Request Forms.
