3. How to succeed -- advice for graduate students
- Search for books on this topic using the UCLA Library Catalog, Melvyl Catalog (UC campuses plus); for example “Getting what you came for” by Robert L. Peters.
- Use the Subject headings links in the Library Catalog and Melvyl to find other resources, for example
Universities and colleges -- United States -- Graduate work -- Handbooks, manuals, etc.
Dissertations, Academic -- United States -- Handbooks, manuals, etc.
- Use the Request feature
to obtain items from other UC campuses; alternatively, go to interlibrary loan.
If you are unable to submit interlibrary loan requests using the Request a Book, Request an Article, or Request a Book Chapter forms, use the UCLA Library Interlibrary Request Forms.
- Submit a purchase recommendation.
- Visit the Writing Center at the UCLA Graduate Student Resource Center.
