SEL Instant Messaging (IM)

Instant Message (IM) Screen Name: uclaselref (for Meebo, AIM, Gmail, MSN, or Yahoo) Instant Messaging is often available during Reference Hours (M-F, 10 a.m. - Noon; 1 - 5 p.m.)

If you prefer, you can use the "IM SEL Reference" chat box (to the left) without any IM account. When you are done chatting with us, you can disconnect by either closing your browser, or clicking on the green button in the upper right corner of the "IM SEL Reference" chat box.

When uclaselref is offline, you can either leave a message in the "IM SEL Reference" chat box (including your contact information), or use our Questions? Email Us service.

  • Reference Service in SEL Geology-Geophysics Collections is by appointment only.
