Access and Circulation Services

Most books and scores circulate for four weeks and are renewable in person or by mail. Quarter loans are available to UC graduate students and semi-annual loans are available to UC faculty members. Recordings do not circulate except to faculty and teaching assistants for classroom use. Materials located in the Southern Regional Library Facility may be paged through the UCLA Library Catalog and held in the Music Library. The California Digital Library's Melvyl® Catalog is also available for searching the holdings of all the University of California libraries.

Microform materials generally do not circulate. Microform readers and printers are available in Room A, adjacent to the Media Room. Portable microfilm readers may be borrowed by graduate students and faculty. Windows multimedia workstations are located in the Media Room for the priority use of students and faculty in the School of the Arts and Department of Musicology .

Borrowing privileges, photocopying policies, document delivery and fee services, and interlibrary borrowing are described on the UCLA Library's Services page.
