UCLA Gluck Fellows Brass Quintet

The final concert in our series featured some of UCLA's finest brass players in the Powell Library South Courtyard, celebrating the rich history of American brass music. The Gluck Fellows Brass Quintet ended this year's Powell Music series.

College Library Instruction is now offering 30 minute individual Research Clinic appointments for UCLA students, staff and faculty during Spring Quarter. These clinics will help students to learn how to do research, particularly for specific class assignments.

Sign up online: Research Clinic, at least 48 hours in advance.

The Music of China Ensemble

The Music of China Ensemble, led by director Chi Li, presented a mix of solo and ensemble pieces on a diverse range of instruments & styles from China.
Music of China Ensemble
Their repertoire consists of classical Chinese works as well as arrangements of folk music. This ensemble from the Department of Ethnomusicology played to an enthusiastic audience.

Armenian Genocide commemoration EXHIBITS IN THE ROTUNDA
Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide

This special exhibit is sponsored by the Student's Arts Council in commemoration of the Armenian Genocide of 1916-1917. The free-standing exhibit consisting of poetry & photographs can be seen on Tues, April 20 & Wed, April 21 from 10am until 4pm.

Musica Humana
The UCLA Early Music Collective, Musica Humana performed sacred and secular works for voices and instruments by late Renaissance German composers Schutz, Schein, Scheidt, and Schultz.
Musica Humana
The group is comprised of students and faculty from the Department of Music and from the Department of Musicology. The musicians included the group director, Daniel Goldmark; singers Jacqueline Warwick, Anne Uhlemann, Durrell Bowman, Mitchell Morris, Erik Leidal, Gordon Haramaki; Elisabeth LeGuin (cello) Susan McClary (organ), Bruce Teter (recorder), Umberto Bellfiore (tenor viol), Jennifer Dimas (bass viol), Steven Pranoto (tenor viol), Rebecca Rosen (treble & bass viol), and Nancy Timmons (treble viol & soprano recorder). 4/16/99 Musica Humana
