An International Education Week 2017 Event
Monday, Nov 13, 2017 - 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Join us for cookies, coffee, and conversation in the Powell Rotunda at our first annual Conversation Café! As part of International Education Week 2017, we're hosting a cafe space to discuss topics of global importance with international students, students who have studied abroad, and any other students interested in joining the discussion.

Potential topics of discussion may include, but are not limited to: DACA/undocumented students, studying abroad, LGBTQ+ culture abroad, being an international student, refugees and refugeeism, coming to the U.S. from a developing country, speaking other languages, religion, and studying different disciplines in foreign countries.

Come hear about the incredibly diverse experiences of UCLA's international and study abroad students and join in the discussion! The Conversation Café will be on Monday, November 13th, from 12-2pm in the Powell Library Rotunda and East Rotunda.

The first 25 attendees will receive a free copy of this year's Common Book, The Best We Could Do by Thi Bui!
