Late Medieval Publishing Culture in Japan during the 14th and 16th Centuries

The lecture entitled Late Medieval Publishing Culture in Japan during the 14th and 16th Centuries will be presented by Professor Tomohiko Sumiyoshi (住吉朋彦), a specialist of kanseki (漢籍) bibliography, a UC Berkeley visiting scholar of Kangaku (漢学) from Keio University Shido Bunko (斯道文庫). This would be the 2nd  time for the Professor to visit the UCLA EAL to access the holdings. The event is organized by the EAL and sponsored by the Terasaki Center for Japanese Studies and UCLA Library.

*Professor Sumiyoshi has worked on the kanseki collection held by the Kunaicho, one of the best kanseki collections in the world, and created this database http://db.sido.keio.ac.jp/kanseki/T_bib_search.php, too.
