Ensemble Bizarria Presents Spurious!

Saturday, Apr 30, 2016 - 8:00pm to 10:00pm

Directed by Lindsey Strand-Polyak

Music that May - or may not - be by Handel, Bach, Corelli, and others...

Lindsey Strand-Polyak, baroque violin

Alexa Haynes-Pilon, baroque cello

Eric J. Wang, harpsichord

Does it have to be actually composed by Bach to be brilliant? What if it turned out that favorite sonata you loved was actually written by his son? Ensemble Bizarria, made up of UCLA alumni Lindsey Strand-Polyak (baroque violin) and Eric J. Wang (harpsichord) with Alexa Haynes-Pilon (baroque cello), asks that very question with this light-hearted program of seventeenth and eighteenth-century music. Featuring both well-known and less well-known works that may - or may not be - composed by Handel, Bach, Corelli, and Couperin, we invite the audience to come listen, and try to spot an imposter.
