All CLICC laptops and desktop stations throughout the Library are packed with software to help you study, teach, learn, and create. Every quarter, we update a complete list of all the software available on every CLICC computer. You can also use this list to see what is available on Windows and Macintosh operating systems, as well as which software is accessible through Software Shortcut—the Library’s tool for using select software titles through a browser on any computer in any place you have Internet. After following our video tutorials about accessing Software Shortcut on your own browser, you may access Software Shortcut at software.library.ucla.edu.
For ask for more detailed information on our software offerings, or to request software to be added to the list, contact us via the UCLA Library IT Help Portal.
Connecting to the Internet at the UCLA Library
While on campus, please use eduroam for your wireless connection. Some CLICC and Library software and services may rely on Internet connectivity that work best or only over eduroam.
The UCLA VPN client is not required to access Software Shortcut. However, we do recommend using either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to access Software Shortcut for best performance.
Our software and equipment is constantly evolving, and with that comes a few growing pains. Unless an issue requires emergency attention, such software and equipment issues are usually resolved at the start of the next quarter. If you wish to report a recurring issue, please contact us via the UCLA Library IT Help Portal.
