Finding Call Numbers for Journals Using ORION2
- In the Address/Location box, type http://orion2.library.ucla.edu. Then press Enter.

- Search using the techniques illustrated.
- When you display an individual record, scroll down to see the call number and location.
Title Words
- Type the journal title in the search terms box. Words can be in any order. Words such as of, the, and may be omitted.

- Limit to Journals format. Note: Do not limit by date.

- Click

- If your search results in more than one journal title, click
to view call numbers.
- Click on
to check on availability of individual journal volumes and/or issues and to initiate the other services listed.
Single-Word Titles or Too Many Results
- If your search retrieves too many results, or if you are searching for journals with single-word titles, such as Cell, Nature, or Science, choose

- Type the journal title in the search terms box.

- Limit to Journals format. Note: Do not limit by date.

- Click
.
- Click on the titles link following the appropriate journal title(s) to view call numbers.

Note: Use the link to return to the list of possible titles.
- If your search results in more than one journal title, click
to view call numbers.
- Click on
to check on availability of individual journal volumes and/or issues and to initiate the other services listed.
Abbreviated Title
- To obtain the full name of the journal, use the CDL-licensed Periodicals Titles database.
- Click
.
- Type the abbreviation as follows:

- Click
.
- Display your results to discover the full name of the journal.
- Click
to end your CDL session.
- Return to ORION2 and do a Title Words or Keywords search using the full name of the journal.
Note: The holdings for UCLA journals are not up-to-date in the CDL-licensed Periodicals Titles database. For the most current information, you must consult ORION2.

Notes
- You can focus your results by using the language, date, and format limits as needed.
- Remember to click
to end your current ORION2 session.
- Use Biomedical Library Call Number Locations to find to the appropriate stack level in the library.
