"Whipped Cream and Other Delights"
It was Jerry Moss's idea for the Tijuana Brass to do a "concept" album of songs with food themes. The album's signature single, "A Taste of Honey," earned four Grammy Awards – for record of the year, best instrumental performance (non-jazz), best instrumental arrangement, and best engineered recording – in 1966.
"Whipped Cream" was one of the first two A&M albums to be certified as gold, which meant it sold more than one million dollars' worth of units. It was also extremely popular around the world.
