More Information

Dear Bruins:

UC Library Search is live!

UCLA Library users — and all members of the University of California community — now have access to a more robust discovery tool allowing you to conduct systemwide searches for materials across all UC campus libraries. Replacing the UCLA Library Catalog and Melvyl, UC Library Search empowers you to:

  • Search and get real-time availability for print, digital, and electronic items from all 10 UC campuses in the articles, books, and more search.
  • Discover and request content available outside the UC system.
  • Manage loans, requests, and more from multiple campuses all in one place in My Account.

In addition to greater ease in finding and borrowing materials, UC Library Search’s aggregated metrics will help inform collections decisions that benefit scholars across the UC system. It’s important to note that today’s launch is just the beginning; UC Library Search will continue to evolve, refine, and integrate additional functionality.

Please familiarize yourself with the following resources developed to support the introduction of UC Library Search:

Additional resources will be introduced in advance of the 2021-22 academic year.
