Administration and Organization
The UCLA Library is an academic division of UCLA. The university librarian reports to the executive vice chancellor and works in consultation with the UCLA Academic Senate Committee on Library and Scholarly Communication. The university librarian is supported by a deputy university librarian and a team of associate university librarians, who manage the UCLA Library's constituent libraries and administrative/support units; see the organization chart. The Library also manages the UC shared Southern Regional Library Facility. In addition, there are twelve affiliated library units located on the campus, which are managed by other departments but coordinate selected aspects of their services and/or operations with the UCLA Library.
